Vision & Mission

The Vision of the Green University Center for Career Development is to be recognized as a leader in helping individuals discover and cultivate their passions, education, and skills. GUB-CCD’s mission is to assist students in linking their academic experiences to their career paths. CCD provides career counseling, resources, and programs aimed at helping individuals clarify their educational and career goals, establish career plans, develop job-search skills, and transition successfully into their careers.

Programs Offered

The Center for Career Development (CCD) has introduced a non-credit, semester-wise course, namely Professional Life Skills Development (PLSD), for students who will complete their graduation in the Fall Semester 2013. Participants attend 12 weekly sessions (every 90 minutes). Per the advisory committee's decision, this course can be modified.

Director’s Message

I am delighted to be associated with the Center for Career Development (CCD) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB).

CCD was established in 2013 at GUB, with the vision to develop graduates with skills that make them competent in the job market. Besides, another objective of CCD was not only to provide jobs to students/graduates but also to prepare them for the competitive job market so they can easily secure their cherished jobs through the skills and knowledge they acquire at GUB.

All students in the final two semesters (11 and 12) must enroll in a non-credit course, Professional Life Skill Development (PLSD), conducted by the CCD. The course has been designed to develop students' skills, including CV writing, interview preparation, presentation skills, professional etiquette, and grooming. The experienced industrial experts are invited to conduct the session of this course as guest speakers, and they assess the students with their constructive guidance to help them prepare for future entry into the job market.

CCD is also responsible for organizing seminars, workshops, job fairs, and sessions to support the development of graduates and current students. On the other hand, CCD is working to foster industry collaboration and to identify internship and job placement opportunities continuously. I am very grateful to our alumni body, those who are working in the industry with success, shining in their careers, and reflecting the name and glory of GUB as its mirror. They are also supporting CCD's activities to create more opportunities for current students so they can follow in the footsteps of alumni in the near future.

Meanwhile, I am also happy to see that our graduates are working in different national, international, and multinational corporations, as well as renowned banks, in leading positions at home and abroad. We also support our students and graduates in their career planning and help them choose the right track by evaluating their academic results, extracurricular activities, organizational skills, and, most importantly, leadership qualities.

Lastly, I would like to say that I firmly believe that, as a GUB family member, it is producing skilled, quality graduates for the job market. They can compete in any situation, and prospectively, they will be at the peak of their careers in the very near future. CCD is always with you all and will always be for a better journey together.

I wish all the success and prosperity to the Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) and the Center for Career Development (CCD) as well.
