On Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, an industrial visit to Techno next Limited in the Baridhara Diplomatic Zone of Dhaka was completed. This visit was organized collaboratively by the Center for Career Development (CCD) and the industry-Academia Collaboration Board of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department at the Green University of Bangladesh. The main objective of this visit was to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practices by providing students with valuable real-world exposure to the IT industry.
Twenty students of the CSE department were accompanied by two faculty members: Dr. Md. Ahsan Habib Tareq, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Director of the Center for Continuing Education (CCE), GUB, and Ms. Shamima Akter, Assistant Professor of CSE, GUB. They started their journey from the GUB permanent campus at 10:00 a.m. On arrival, the Head of HR, Mr. Kamrul Hasan, warmly welcomed them.
An interactive session featuring industry professionals, including a Q&A segment, was held. Md. Rafiqul Islam, the Group CTO of Technonext, and Mr. Aminul Islam, the Head of the PMO at Technonext, participated in this session. They addressed each question and offered valuable insights and guidance to the students regarding career prospects in the industry.
Mr. Kamrul Hasan, Head of HR, Technonext; Dr. Serajum Munira, Director, CCD, GUB; and Mr. M. K. Anamul Hoque, Officer, Center for Career Development (CCD), GUB, were also present.
After the Q&A session, students could visit the workstation and gain practical experience with industry professionals. They explained various topics, coding challenges, and the software development process in detail.



On the 1st of March, 2025, for the aspiring graduates of Green University of Bangladesh, there are many lucrative openings at US Bangla Group. The entire session was designed to familiarize the graduates with the US Bangla Group recruitment process and how to face it. And hence, the whole session was divided into three (03) segments–
MS Excel test to assess the competency level in operating Excel
An aptitude test to determine their level of intelligence
A demo interview session to evaluate their job market readiness
Around fifty (50) graduates participated in this day-long session, which started at 9:00 am and continued till 4:25 pm. The enthusiasm and seriousness that the candidates demonstrated in each segment reflected their high level of passion towards pursuing their careers at US Bangla Group. The Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, also visited during the aptitude test to monitor the smooth conduct of the whole process. Overall, the demo recruitment session gave the participants a vibe of the real recruitment test.


The Office of CCD successfully organised a seminar titled “Face the Interview with US Bangla Group: Demonstration & Feedback session” on 1 March 2025 for aspiring job-seeking graduates of Green University of Bangladesh. The seminar was particularly arranged for those who are actively seeking a career at US Bangla Group.
The event started at 10:30 am in the Syndicate Room of the University and continued till 1:30 pm. Dr. Mahbub Jahan Khan, Strategic Director of US Bangla Airlines, was invited as the session chair, who started the session with a brief introduction of the US Bangla Airlines and gradually dove deep into the talk of interview tips and tricks. His area of discussion covered the very basic know-how that every job-seeking graduate must know, including how to dress for an interview session, what the body gestures and posture should be during an interview, how to take control of an interview session, etc.
The entire session was very engaging and informative. To grace the event, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Vice Chancellor of GUB, was also present and gave invaluable advice to the graduates. The session ended with a question-and-answer segment, during which many participants had their queries answered.


On March 5, 2025, the Center for Language and Cultural Studies and the Center for Career Development jointly arranged a seminar on career opportunities and the Japanese language at Green University of Bangladesh. The seminar took place in the university’s seminar hall, and the keynote speaker was MD Masudur Rahman, Managing Director of QA Harbour Limited.
During his presentation, MD Masudur Rahman discussed Japan’s culture, language, traditions, and prospects for higher education and employment. He emphasised the significance of learning the Japanese language, stating that it is a means of communication and a valuable tool for building a successful career in Japan.
The Honorable Vice Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Mohammad Sharif Uddin, noted the importance of Japanese language education and encouraged students to focus on this area.
The Honorable Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Director of the Center for Career Development, Dr. Sirajum Munira, Assistant Director, Mr. Sourav Barua, and Officers M. K. Anamul Hoque and Touhid Sultana attended the seminar.
Following the seminar, the chief guest participated in a photo session with the guests and students.

Successful completion of Industrial Visit to Assurer at Work Ltd.
An industrial tour has been arranged jointly with the Department of Textile and the Office of the Center for Career Development to Assurer at Work Limited on 15th March 2025 at 11:00 am. The main objective of this visit was to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practices by providing students with valuable real-world exposure to the Textile industry. During an industrial visit, event scheduling, sponsorship acquisition, and student participation have been discussed. According to the MoU, the director of Assurer at Work Limited focuses on offering internship positions across various departments, ensuring hands-on learning opportunities for students.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is experiencing a global surge, with a notable increase in its application in corporate offices. On April 19, 2025, a workshop on AI was held at the Green University of Bangladesh. The Centre for Career Development at Green University of Bangladesh organised the seminar with support from Netcom Learning. Approximately 60 students from various departments participated in the seminar.
The seminar speakers included Abdur Rahman Mamun, Head of Partnerships at Netcom Learning, and Mr. Imdadul Islam, Business Development Manager. They discussed AI’s advantages and benefits, emphasising its growing importance in corporate environments.

The Center for Career Development has successfully arranged a seminar titled “Step into Wellness: The Power of Walking for Body and Mind” on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at 2:30 PM in the Seminar Hall of Green University of Bangladesh.
The program was inaugurated with a welcoming speech from Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, the Vice Chancellor of the Green University of Bangladesh. On April 26th, Prof. Dr. Anupam Hossain will be the keynote speaker and the Public Health & Communication Specialist.
It was a one-and-a-half-hour session in which the facilitator discussed the importance of walking and its health benefits. He also illuminated some non-communicable diseases, including Cardiac disease, diabetes, and mental health conditions, that are caused by a lack of walking.
More than 100 students from ten (10) departments attended the event. Dr. Serajum Munira, Director of CCD, and Mr. Sourav Barua, Assistant Director of CCD, were also present throughout the session, along with a few members from the Green Alumni Committee.


Flowers are utilized for a variety of purposes around the world. They serve as decorative elements and ways to welcome guests and possess medicinal properties. Flowers are cultivated in numerous countries, including Bangladesh. Recently, a seminar titled “Floriculture: An Eco-Friendly and Profitable Agri-Business” was held on May 3, 2025, organized by the Centre for Career Development at Green University of Bangladesh.
Dr. Farzana Nasrin Khan, the Head of the Floriculture Division at the Horticulture Research Centre under the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), was the main speaker. During the seminar, she shared valuable research insights on flowers and highlighted effective methods for successful flower cultivation, emphasizing their significance. The seminar’s students enthusiastically participated, discussing various topics with Dr. Khan.
Dr. Sirajum Munira, the Honorable Director of the Centre for Career Development, and other faculty members were also present. The director of the Center for Career Development handed Dr. Farjana Nasrin Khan a crest as a token of appreciation. After the seminar, the chief and visiting guests were photographed with the students.


To enhance students’ job readiness for the position of Customer Support Executive at Top Asset, the Office of CCD has arranged an online screening interview on May 13, 2025. This initiative evaluated the students’ preparation for the interview, communication skills, and overall performance in a simulated exam environment.
Viva examination witnessed the participation of 20 eager candidates, each keen to demonstrate their abilities. The session was conducted by Dr. Sirajum Munira, the esteemed Center for Career Development Director, who skillfully facilitated the exam.
This online viva exam was a vital component of the CV selection process, designed to meet the specific needs of a leading organization in Bangladesh. The examination occurred from 9:20 AM to 1:00 PM, creating an engaging atmosphere where students could enhance their skills and gain confidence for their future careers


An industrial-academic collaboration was signed between Green University and Good News Global, organized by the Center for Career Development at Green University of Bangladesh. This collaboration is committed to providing students with a pathway to employment, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future careers.

Center for Career Development (CCD) and the Center for Language and Cultural Studies (CLCS) jointly arranged a successful seminar titled “Gateway to Japan: Higher Education and Career Prospects for Bangladeshi Students” on Monday, July 07, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Seminar Hall of Green University of Bangladesh.
The program commenced with a welcoming speech by Dr. Serajum Munira, Director of the Center for Career Development. It was facilitated by Yamamoto Kyohei, Second Secretary and Deputy Head of the Public Relations & Culture Section at the Embassy of Japan, and Dr. Afsana Kawsar, Education Advisor at the Embassy of Japan.
Dr. Afsana Kawsar highlighted the importance of the MEXT Scholarship and other scholarships for pursuing higher education. Yamamoto Kyohei discussed job opportunities in Japan and the prospects they offer. He outlined the job selection process and provided guidance on how to apply for a job.
The seminar was attended by the Honorable Vice Chancellor and Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Green University of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, and Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed. The Center for Career Development (CCD) of Green University of Bangladesh conducted a grooming session focused on interview preparation for the job opportunity at SEBPO on Thursday, 14 August 2025. Dr. Serajum Munira, the Director of the Center for Career Development (CCD), was the keynote facilitator for the session.
Dr. Serajum Munira, Director of CCD, delivered a comprehensive and interactive session that equipped participants with essential tools and strategies to succeed in SEBPO’s recruitment process. The main points of discussion included: Overview of SEBPO’s Recruitment Process, Resume and Cover Letter Preparation, Effective Interview Techniques, Professional Etiquette, and Communication.
During the Q&A segment, Dr. Serajum Munira enthusiastically addressed all the questions from participants. A total of 40+ students joined the online grooming session.

Build a Resume that Opens Doors” on Wednesday, 20th of August, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Seminar Hall of Green University of Bangladesh. This Seminar brought together students and professionals eager to enhance their career prospects through effective CV writing techniques.
The program commenced with a welcoming speech by Dr. Serajum Munira, Director of the Centre for Career Development. The entire program was facilitated by Md. Ali Ahsan, PhD, as a Keynote Speaker who is the Senior Manager (HRBP) of Honda Power Products. It was a two-hour session in which the keynote speaker, Md. Ali Ahsan, PhD, discussed the importance of a good CV in successfully landing a job.
Md. Ali Ahsan, PhD, provided valuable insights on several important aspects of job applications, including the type of CV that hiring managers seek, the distinction between a CV and a resume, and how to create a career objective tailored to the specific job role.
Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, the Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh; Mr. Sourav Barua, the Assistant Director of CCD; and officials from CCD, along with faculty members from various disciplines, attended the seminar. More than 50+ students from eight departments participated in the event. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions to the speaker, who responded spontaneously and shared his insights.
Finally, the Honorable Pro Vice-Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, concluded by emphasizing that this program will teach students how to create an industry-standard CV and highlight the key areas that HR managers consider when recruiting employees.


The Center for Career Development (CCD) of Green University of Bangladesh recently conducted a grooming session focused on interview preparation for job and internship opportunities at US-Bangla Group on August 20, 21, and 22, 2025.
Over 130 students actively participated in these sessions, demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm and commitment. Additionally, a total of 723 students submitted their resumes for job opportunities at US-Bangla Group, highlighting the strong interest in this prestigious opportunity.
The grooming session was divided into the following four modules, each led by esteemed facilitators from the CCD: Email Writing Test, facilitated by Dr. Serajum Munira, Director, CCD; Excel Test, facilitated by Mr. Sourav Barua, Assistant Director, CCD; Aptitude Test, facilited by Mr. M. K. Anamul Hoque, Office, CCD; Memory Test, facilited by Tauhida Alam, Office, CCD.
The facilitators warmly responded to students’ questions regarding the recruitment process, job roles, and exam strategies, creating a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere.
